Sharing great resources…

Favorite blogs & resources about technology for teachers!

This is just a start and will be added to via future entries. My very first blog recommendation I found to be extremely useful, helpful and full of great information for all educators at all levels is:

Free Technology4Teachers

freetech4teachers.com  is a great informative blog by Richard Byrne, who is a Maine educator.

Richard Byrne, FreeTech4Teachers Blog

I began to follow him about a year ago, and enjoyed the session he presented at NCTIES held in Raleigh in early March this year. This blog has lesson plans, how to documents, suggested uses for the myriad of Web 2.0 tools that abound. He does the work for you by making suggestions on how a web tool can be used in the classroom.

One of my favorite ways to keep up with blogs I find noteworthy is to subscribe via RSS feeds using Google Reader.

Google Reader

Google Reader aggregates my favorites together and I save time by using that feature.

Here’s another resource I really like:

makeuseof.com

MakeUesOf.com

MakeUse Of is full of cool websites, guides, cheats, how to and tips, best apps, tech help, a websites index, and geeky fun.

Happy reading,

Sonja
